I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5
Today, 12/9/10, in the news, are stories of Paris being so covered in snow that they shut down the Eiffel Tower, a cruise ship battling 3 story waves, and a California town’s authorities setting fire to a house filled with explosives as the only solution of disposal. Life throws things at all of us, but, as Christians we’re all feeding off of the same Vine, and if we hold on, what fruit we’re supposed to bear, we will. Others may drown, burn, or freeze, but those who stay on the vine will persevere and prosper, yielding to nothing, not fire, not ice.
